A hallowed chance in a fleeting life

ended to soon in a tragic night

Trapped by the weakness of an empty lot

too late for us all to wish it not

But where were our eyes

and where were our hearts

not to see

not to stop

And is this a glimpse of a future stained

when only the ugliness of our greed remains

But as legends are born and the best may die

the strength in your heart will always survive

for now in our sorrow we realize the light in your eyes

was more then charm more more then sight

As if inside somehow you knew

Above the pain and all you have been through

Knowledge great of a simple truth

Go forth my children and seek your proof

Be armed with love for the world hold danger

and charmed with a smile to rise above your anger

Thank you Sweet Princess for you have lit in our souls

But it is now ours to carry it is now ours to hold

So walk this day as Kings and Queens

because the truth of royalty has now been seen
